i woke up sunday morning to Ammon so excited to show me what he wanted to be for Halloween!

we had a party that night & i still had no idea what we were going to be,
so i was more than happy to find out that ammon had been looking for ideas all night while i was sound asleep :)

we had come up with a bunch of ideas but this one took the cake for being my

i told ammon i wanted to be skeletons every single year from now on i loved it so much!

we had so much fun getting ready together!

the best part was AMMON did our makeup!
i couldn't believe what a good job he did!

my husband the make up artist... no big deal. haha

is this not the cutest little girl you have ever seen??
i could seriously just stare at her all day long!

poor thing wouldn't even make eye contact with ammon because she was so scared!

we had so much fun playing games, eating food, & hanging out with our best friends here in Cedar!

on a happier note...

my mama & i went to a witches tea party!

like mother like daughter!

we get told we look like twins EVERYWHERE we go! haha

we had to stop & take a picture with the Christmas lights outside our neighborhood!

i LOVE getting to see my mom & spending time with my family!

october has been such a fun month filled with football, family, friends, & more!

here is to one more week of october & getting to go up north to be with our families!

my husband, the quarterback

So... you know how people say your love grows for your spouse each day?
Well, I have come to learn that couldn't be more true!

over the past couple of weeks I have gotten to see Ammon do what he loves!
& that is play football!

Not just in practice, not just in scrimmages, but in real life games!

watching him play, seeing all of his hard work pay off, hearing the whole crowd chant his name, is one of the most rewarding feelings in the world!

buuuut... being the wife of a football player, especially the QUARTERBACK, is probably one of the most nerve racking things.. EVER!

it is hard to understand until you have actually experienced it but it is a lot harder than you would think.

just like every other player on the field, ammon makes his mistakes, but his mistakes are magnified!
not only does he make his own, but other players mistakes reflect him & sometimes looks like he was the one that did something wrong, when he really didn't.

on top of that he has taken some pretty hard hits.

& when i say pretty hard, i actually mean really hard.

since the season started we have made way too many trips to the hospital to get x-rays.

-one on his ribs

-another on his collar bone
thankfully nothing was broken

-TWO chipped teeth
(he was wearing a mouth piece... how does that even happen???? haha)

-plenty of turf burns & way too many awful bruises

-separated his shoulder, grade 3, meaning he did all the damage he could do in his shoulder!

thankfully it was his left arm & not his money making arm

i call his right arm the "money maker" since it pays our bills :) haha

during the weber game, i think he took one too many hits to the head!

we came out of the stadium to ammon walking across the street,
in his tights & church shoes, hunched over like an old man

i couldn't help but laugh at how funny it was (had to be there?) but he was in so much pain!

he didn't sleep an ounce that night. I woke up to him, multiple times, moaning from hurting so bad.

but he is ammon olsen.
the TOUGHEST & HAPPIEST person i know.

thankfully i have the players wives,
& my mother in law to help with all of the stress!

there is nothing like seeing your husband lay on the field, just praying that he will get up.

however, there is also nothing like seeing your husband happy & doing what he loves!

i think when you see your loved ones hurting your love for them grows.

but it grows even more when you see them HAPPY!

i fall deeper in love with this boy each & every day.

bundled up for the game!

here is to a HAPPY, & hopefully HEALTHIER football season!!
