summery lemon bars


these babies are to die for!!

they are the perfect summer treat that leave you craving more!

i promise you they are worth the splurge..

i treated myself to half of the pan.. no joke! haha

then i decided i should share them so i took them to work and everyone was asking for more!

Crust
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened

Filling
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teasppon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

directions

preheat oven to 350 degrees.
combine crust ingredients and mix until crumbly 
spoon mixture in 13x9 inch pan lined with parchment paper
press evenly to cover bottom
bake for 20 to 30 minutes (until brown)

while the crust cooks, beat the eggs with a wire whisk
add remaining ingredients except lemon juice, mix well.
add lemon juice

remove crust from over& pour filling mixture on the warm crust. 
return to oven and bake for 25 to 30 more minutes (until brown)
cool completely for at least one hour

add some powdered sugar and ENJOY!!
